Today we all have gathered here to celebrate 5th September as Teacher's Day. First of all, I wish all the people present here a very Happy Teacher's Day. Also, I would like to thank all those people who gave me the opportunity to express my views on this occasion.
We also call Teacher's Day Teacher's Day, this day is the most honorable occasion for all those students, who are serving the country by completing their education or are getting an education. On this day, students express their gratitude to their teachers for their knowledge.
That's why we celebrate this day every year with great pomp and get the blessings of the Gurus. On this day in 1888, the former President of the country, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. He was the first Vice President and second President of India from 1952 to 1962. Due to these qualities, in 1954, the Government of India decorated him with the highest honor Bharat Ratna. He spent 40 years of his life as a teacher and fulfilled his duties. He has made a huge contribution in the field of education. After his election as President in 1962, the students prayed for his birthday to be celebrated on 5 September.

After many requests from the students, he replied that instead of celebrating 5th September as my personal birthday, it would be better to dedicate this day to the whole educational profession. And since then 5 September is celebrated all over India as Teacher's Day in honor of the educational profession. On this day, teachers who have done better work in the field of education are honored by the Government of India. For all the students of India, Teacher's Day is a celebration and occasion to pay respect and gratitude to their teachers for their continuous, selfless, and precious efforts in shaping their future.

A teacher works tirelessly to enrich and enhance the quality of the education system in the country. While our parents give birth to us, teachers build our character by telling us the difference between right and wrong with our studies in school. At the same time, teachers make our future bright with the right guidance. That is why in our country it is said that the place of teachers is above even our parents. We cannot even imagine our life without education. Just as our body needs food, similarly we need the education to move ahead in life and achieve heights. Only a teacher can impart education selflessly to all the students. Teachers remove the evils inside us and make us better people. Our teachers do not consider us less than our own children and teach us diligently. As a child, when we need inspiration and encouragement, which we definitely get from our teachers. They teach us to come out of any bad situation in life through wisdom and patience. Dear teachers, we will always be grateful to you for this knowledge.
Our great poet Kabir Das has said that if you see both the teacher and God together, then you should first touch the feet of the teacher. Because only a teacher can show us the way to reach God by giving us knowledge. With this, I will end my talk.
